Summer Residencies reimagine the future

As this drops in your inbox, Lakefront is now undergoing its 4th residency this summer - The AGI Social Contract Summit, and there are two more coming up before we close the summer season out here.

Each week-long residency is gathering people and experts from all over the world to reimagine what the future could look like in various fields such as music, governance, sustainability, health and AI. It has so far been a big success attracting world-leading changemakers and thought-leaders, and already placing Lakefront on the global map as a pioneering place where the future of our world is being altered.

Aug 08: A panel discussion with leading AI experts

Expert thought-leaders on Artificial Intelligence from OpenAI, OECD, Future of Life Institute, and the European Commission are currently gathering at Lakefront for the “AGI Social Contract Summit” to discuss what kind of economic and governance systems we need in a world shaped by advanced AI.

This Friday, you have the chance to take part in their insights and reflections in a live panel discussion.

Aug 24: Concert “Vocal Roots” with Maria Coma

The singer, composer, pianist, and performance researcher Maria Coma, with roots in Catalonia and Mallorca, will be playing in Stockholm as part of her Vocal Roots tour on Sunday, August 24 for a concert at the Emerge Lakefront project.

Maria Coma creates, live on stage, an emotional and performative space where piano, voice, pedals, and vocal polyphony come together to shape an experience that is both intimate and cathartic. Each song opens up a richly nuanced sound world in which the artist shares her vulnerability in every note, transforming the performance into an honest and heartfelt experience.
