Summer at Lakefront with now 30 residents
Life at the lake has never been more alive! We’re now 30 residents surrounded by booming Swedish nature. Lunches in the sun, daily swims in the lake, workouts on the lawn, gardening, weekend barbecues and a lot more spontaneous hangouts outside.
New community practices and a weekly rhythm of activities, refined sociocratic governance structure and decentralized decision-making.

We just launched a new “People” page on the website with all the humans that call Lakefront home!
Ecosystem Gathering

The Ekskäret Foundation Ecosystem gathering at Lakefront in June
In June the Ekskäret foundation hosted a rare and powerful international gathering of leaders within inner development and impact at Lakefront. The CEOs or leaders of Norrsken, Perspectiva, and Inner Development Goals were some of the 20-people weekend-long gathering with the purpose of bridging initiatives and enable more seamless collaboration to accelerate systemic change on our planet.
Re:Sound residency reimagined sound and resonance

Over five days in June, a vibrant collective of musicians, makers, sound explorers, and instrument builders gathered at Lakefront to reimagine what an instrument can be - and to redefine the very meaning of resonance.
Inspired by the book Resonance: A Sociology of Our Relationship to the World, the magnum opus of German philosopher Hartmut Rosa, they crafted everything from hacked pianos to sculpted synthesisers and percussive tools fashioned from unexpected materials.
Their efforts culminated in a sold-out concert at the Lakefront’s church organ house—an extraordinary sonic-social experience that felt truly otherworldly.
Upcoming July 18: Network Nations Lightning Talks

Join us at Emerge Lakefront on Friday, July 18 at 16.00, for a special public event exploring the future of governance in a networked world. Participants of the Network Nations Residency at Lakefront (July 14-20) will share bold ideas through lightning talks and open discussion on sovereignty, collective agency, and how communities can prototype new political forms beyond borders and hierarchies. From digital infrastructure to lived experiments in governance, this is a rare chance to witness visionary thinking in action — and imagine what a Network Nation might become.
That’s it for now!
Take care of each other ❤️
