Community Kick-off

Last week, twenty-five of us - from diverse fields of impact and from every continent of the world: from Peru and South Africa, to Ukraine, Hong Kong, and Australia. From Chile, the US, Turkey, and all across Europe, gathered on Ekskäret island to seed a new way of being together.

Emerge Lakefront is more than a beautiful place to live. It’s a living laboratory for inner development, systemic change, and meaningful connection. And at the heart of it all is a deeper shared purpose: “Living attuned to and co-creating the evolving field, while acting as a vessel for the unfolding whole.”

That’s the essence of Lakefront. Not a static vision, but a living invitation: To be of service to something larger, wiser, and emerging through us all.

Scientist-in-residence Scholarship

After receiving more than 30 wonderful applications from artists all over the world for the artist-in-residence program, we’re now launching a new 6-month residency scholarship at Lakefront for scientists!

This scholarship is also part of our commitment to diversify the lenses through which we explore and shape the future from within Lakefront. We want to invite scientists into the heart of the community to bring even more of critical thinking, systems literacy, and evidence-based perspectives. We believe that scientific inquiry — when grounded in community, ethics, and imagination — is essential to guiding collective evolution.

Re:Sound one-week residency and concert

Over five days, a collective of musicians, makers, sound explorers, and builders have come together to reinvent the very idea of an instrument and redefine resonance. From hacked pianos to sculpted synths and percussive tools made from unexpected materials, every sound you'll hear has been crafted from scratch.

Expect immersive soundscapes, live improvisation, tactile beats, and the kind of resonance that moves body and soul.

This isn’t just a concert. It’s a celebration of sonic invention and the joy of making music from the unknown.

10 new open resident spots for September!

During the summer we will accept 10 new residents to move in from September. Check out our different accommodation options on the website and apply, or if you know someone that might be a good fit, this would be a great time to send them a recommendation to apply.
